Policy goals as reference points for interdisciplinary soil research

Abstract Policy goals can be significant reference points for researchers and funders addressing research topics that are relevant for society. Based on a literature and document review we present major current policy goals that are pertaining to the management of agricultural soils, from the global to the national level with a focus on Germany. We highlight the general relevance of these policy goals for interdisciplinary soil research.
